As we step into a new era of financial awareness, we’re excited to launch the Boss Up Financial Literacy Programme. This initiative is designed to equip students across the country with essential financial skills, empowering them to take charge of their financial futures.

The Boss Up campaign targets ambitious achievers—young adults aged 18 to 30 who are ready to shape their futures. This group is passionate about making impactful life choices, building their legacies, and setting the pace for societal change. By focusing on this demographic, we aim to lay the foundation for job creation and foster a culture of financial literacy that can drive economic growth.

Financial literacy is vital, especially in a post-COVID-19 world, where greater societal support is needed. Research shows that many young people feel unprepared for financial decision-making. This programme aims to fill that gap, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals of reducing inequality and promoting economic growth.

The Boss Up Programme is set to make a significant impact with the following features:

  • Social Media Reach: We aim for a reach of over 22 million across various platforms.
  • Campus Workshops: Eight engaging workshops at universities, including TUT which will connect us directly with students.
  • Expert Speakers: We will be featuring influential financial speakers and guests, this while creating an engaging Q&A session to ensure that the students use this information to learn and make a difference in their financial lifestyles. Collaborating with influential figures who resonate with the youth will help us attract a larger audience and foster engagement.
  • Live Entertainment: Each campus event will feature a live celebrity performance to enhance engagement and make learning enjoyable.

The Boss Up Financial Literacy Programme will include:

  • Interactive Content: An in-depth social media campaign will be run alongside social media influencers that will drive the campaign, creating relevant content that resonates with our target market.

On October 7, we kicked off our very first Boss Up activation at UJ Campus, and what an amazing start it was! We welcomed over 500 enthusiastic students eager to dive into the world of financial literacy. Our speakers delivered some incredible insights on entrepreneurship, saving, and investing, sparking lively discussions and engagement from the crowd.

The energy in the room was palpable, and we wrapped up this fantastic event with an unforgettable performance by the talented Blxckie! It was the perfect way to celebrate our commitment to empowering young minds. This event truly showcased the appetite students have for financial knowledge.

By using platforms that resonate with them, we’re making it easier for important financial concepts to stick. Here’s to more exciting events ahead—let’s keep this momentum going!

The Boss Up Financial Literacy Programme is more than just an initiative; it’s a step toward empowering our team and fostering a culture of financial wellness. By investing in our community’s financial education, we’re not only enhancing personal lives but also strengthening our organization.
